About Me

Hi, my name is Adam. I began working as a trainer in 2005 and immediately knew that this was my calling. I offer truly personalized fitness training. I specialize in helping older clients maintain and regain mobility through facilitated stretching and functional training. I have recently developed a variable step loading program for strength training that has been effective for clients from 30-70 years of age. I have had several certification over the years and currently am an instructor for the personal training program at Wellspring School of Allied Health.

What to Expect

Typically, self myofascial release, a dynamic warm-up, strength or functional mobility training, a short high intensity cardio segment, then stretching and joint mobility.

I have several clients that have been training with me for over 10 years. As they age their goals change. Clients that came to me in their late 40's or early 50's and wanted to lose weight are now in their late 50's or early 60's and just want to get out of bed and not hurt. I have helped them all along the way.

I have worked with Adam for over 10 years now. He always shows up ready to challenge you -- specifically to you. He tailors the workouts to the moves you like to do (for me that is boxing/cardio) and, at the same time, he is always taking you to the next level. I have been training with Adam for several years now. Adam is incredibly knowledgeable about anatomy and muscle development and balancing. He is focused on safety and making sure exercises are done correctly and safely. He is always willing to adjust a workout to focus on an injury or pain. He has helped me build up strength after a repetition shoulder issue and breast cancer surgery. He continues to work with me to develop underutilized muscle groups from a lifetime of being overweight and working at desk jobs. I can't recommend Adam more highly. He is personable and easy to work with but still drives you to achieve things you didn't believe you could achieve. I have hour long sessions that normally begin with a warm up, followed by working whatever muscle groups are worked that day and ends with stretching. Each session is different and Adam always brings in new things to keep it interesting. Some days it's the ladder ropes to work on cardio and foot work. Other days it's the dreaded thigh master to build correct knee placement by building better muscle strength. I have much better body awareness of correct placement and posture and Adam has taught me actions I can take to address life's aches and pains as they occur through every day activities. Adam is also willing to teach the vocabulary of physiology if a person has an aptitude to remember it. But he never minds that I don't have that aptitude. I feel lucky that I found Adam as a trainer as my life is better because of the work I have done with him.
