I am consistently amazed at how we continually break down weight loss into a simple formula of “calories in vs. calories out”. As alluded to in the article, give me a person that is eating 2000 calories of clean foods vs. processed foods and I will show you a person that is health vs. unhealthy, not to mention a HUGE difference in their weight loss. Blood sugar levels, cortisol, ghrelin, inflammation levels, oxidation levels, immune responses, sleep deprivation, hydration, toxicity, overtraining/undertraining, age, gender, genetic, epigenetic expression, and at least a dozen other physiological variable ALL play into the INDIVIDUAL weight loss response. It’s just a shame that the fitness industry continues to push such an antiquated and archaic model of “calories in vs. calories out”. Thank you for this article Adam, I appreciate you bringing this it’s much needed light. Keep up the great work!
